I added a star to this review because the lady I talked to on the phone was super nice. This Tower road location is the worst self service car wash I've ever been to for a couple of reasons which could be easily addressed: 1. The touch screen thing needs to be replaced with something reliable. The touch screen doesn't work whenever it gets wet, and it's in a carwash bay, so it's going to get wet. 2. The vacuums sometimes/most of the time have no suction. 3. The brushes have a device to make them not work unless you select 'foam brush' on the screen. In both bay 1 & 3, they will have soap come out but the pole will still be flimsy at the end making the brush useless. I talked to someone on the phone today and she reassured me they have this carwash checked once or twice per day but the brushes have been out of order since at least August 9th and it is now August 13th. This is a very expensive self service car wash. The past handful of times I have ended up throwing money away trying to get the screens to work and the brushes to work. This could be a really good carwash.

I’ve got a monthly subscription for just the basic wash (which doesn’t even include drying, but is evidently all I’m qualified for because my vehicle has a rear-mounted spare). The wash itself is actually pretty decent, particularly if you use it often enough to keep the vehicle reasonably clean always. It’s very slow, though, and the lines can get long, unless you go at odd hours. So why not a higher score? Well, a few things. First and most critically, in the 2-3 months I’ve been a subscriber, I’ve seen the auto wash bays out of service more frequently than I think is reasonable. Sometimes it’s one bay, sometimes it’s all of them. And since I go very early in the morning to avoid the lines, there’s literally never an employee on site. Or if there is, they’re not doing anything useful. They desperately need to do better at increasing uptime on the bays. Secondly, the kiosks where you scan in have dirty displays and in the morning when the sun is hitting them, it’s impossible for the camera/app to actually scan the QR code to activate the wash. My kids had been wanting to do the self care wash since they saw a video on YouTube and this was the perfect place! Its been a while since ive used one of these, but the attendant working was 10/10 on customer service and showed us the ropes! They had a blast and I have a clean car! Clean car, happy kids, happy mom!

The wash equipment itself is good. The spray pressure was great, and the equipment seemed to work well overall. The foam brush did take a while before it started producing foam, but it eventually worked. The bad news is the place is disgusting. Whoever owns or manages this car wash clearly is not keeping up with it. The wash bays and the areas around them were filthy, and it looks like they have not been cleaned in a long time. Good equipment does not make up for a dirty, neglected facility.

AutoWash has become extremely frustrating to use lately because two out of the three bays have been offline for over a week with no signs of repair. This leaves only one bay operating, which causes long lines almost every time I visit. What should be a quick car wash turns into a long wait and wasted time. There is no clear communication, signage, or updates explaining when the bays will be fixed. It feels like basic maintenance and customer experience are being ignored. The constant congestion makes the facility inconvenient and unreliable. I’ve driven out of my way expecting availability, only to find a backed-up line again. For a paid service, this level of downtime is unacceptable. If the equipment can’t be maintained properly, customers deserve transparency and faster repairs. Until this is addressed, I can’t recommend AutoWash and will likely look for other options.
